Predicting the Impact on Throughput of a New Information System

Submitting Author: Mr. George Tompkins

Abstract:
Members of the Engineering Methods team approached the Technology Modeling and Analysis group to determine if a model could aid them in their study of a new data acquisition system. Over the course of two months a model was created and a study conducted to quantify the impacts of the proposed information system. This paper provides an overview of the detonator manufacturing process, the new information system, and the simulation model. It then describes the subsequent analysis, results, and conclusions derived from the model.
