D.EV.S modelling for the proactive control by simulation of Kanban production lines

ABSTRACT:In this paper, we show how simulation can be a useful tool for production systems control aid. Thanks to the information given by the simulation, a proactive control can be set up to allow anticipating blocked situations. To illustrate this subject, the coupled Discret EVent Specification (D.EV.S.) formalism of Kanban work centres is used.
