Simone Simeoni


He completed the Management Engineering degree in Genoa University working on PUMA project in cooperation with Ansaldo Energia; he attended to SIREN Courses in M&S, VV&A and HLA receiving the relative certificates.

In may 2000 he participate to the international symposium in Instanbul ICAMES 2000 and won the 1st Award as Best Project.
In July/August 2000 he visited the CAE in Montreal working with Rose in Modeling & Simulation of Power Plants; during the period he was guest at Lockheed Martin Canada for cooperating in Data Fusion Projects.
In March/April 2001 he visited the Ford Motor Company in Detroit, where he worked on Logistics projects applied to Production Plants using Witness, Automod and Simul8.
In 2002 he received a research grant for visiting simulation facilities in NASA Kennedy Space Center and National Center for Simulation in Orlando. In autumn 2002 he visited the Virtual Lab of LAMCE COPPE UFRJ in Rio de Janeiro.
In 2004 he was involved in LESMEC Project and visited the Universidad Panamericana, the Instituto de Investiganiones Electricas, the Instituto Nacional de Astrofisica Optica Y Electronica, the Universidad National Autonoma de Mexico, the MISS UNAM and the Universidad Popular Autonoma de Estado de Puebla; during his period in Mexico he presented seminars for Universities and Professional Education.

He is involved in supervision and Project Management of project related to implementing an ERP (SAP R/3 Retail (tm) ) with a major Italian company; he is active in logistics modeling for Retail.
He was involved as Project Manager representative in over 100 IT projects in a billion dollar company operating as member of Simulation Team.
He is currently working for CCNO, a Consortium of a major Italian Retailer.

He participated to several events as speaker in Europe, USA and ASIA (such as ASTC2001 Seattle, ESS2000,  AICE Annual Meeting 2000 (Bocconi University), Summer Lecturing in Michigan University etc); he is member of the International Program Committee of several International Conferences (i.e. HMS2004 Rio de Janeiro, Summer Computer Simulation Conference 2004 San Jose`, MAS2003 etc.).
He has experience in teaching Professional and Academic Courses (Logistics, Project Management, Modelling & Simulation, ERP and Company Organization, Forecasting, Scheduling, Maintenance) in Italy, California and Mexico.
