Lucilla Ravà
Lucilla Ravà was born in 08/11/1967 in Rome, where she is still living.
She has a Statistical background: Bachelor and Ph.D. degrees in Methodological Statistics at the University of Rome "La Sapienza".
She spent a year in the Biostatistic Department of Harvard School of Public Health, as research assistant, and worked in the "Centro di Riferimento AIDS"- IRCCS "L. Spallanzani" - Rome for 3 years.
At present she is employed at the "Osservatorio Epidemiologico della Regione Lazio" - Rome and attends the last year of a specialization course in Biostatistics.
Her main research interests are in the Biostatistics field, in particular she is involved in the study of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, through the use of various statistical methods.
She is involved in several international research projects.
The Back-Calculation, a method to project and forecast the HIV/AIDS epidemic trends, was the topic of her Ph.D thesis and it is still part of her present research.
