ABSTRACT: Simulation is one of the most attainable decision making techniques of modern times. This paper presents the development of a Simulation application called ‘Port Process Simulator’ or PPS in the maritime industry. It has been installed and is working in three ports in the Baltic States. The focus of this paper is the architecture, technique, and the approach applied in the development. It also demonstrates the usefulness and the application of the PPS to the end-user.
